  • Application materials submitted in connection with Programs, cohorts, development initiatives, collaborative projects, pilot production opportunities, or other opportunities offered through the Services;
  • Social media handles, website information, and links to third-party platforms;
  • Preferences, interests, and other information you choose to include in your profile; and
  • Other identifiers, including online identifiers, account IDs, device identifiers, and similar information associated with your use of the Services.

We may also collect information regarding your participation in Programs, collaborations, creator matching activities, project development initiatives, and other activities offered through the Services.

1.2 Device and Technical Data

When you access or use the Services, we may automatically collect certain device, usage, and technical information, including:

  • Device type, operating system, browser type, browser settings, and application version;
  • Device identifiers, IP address, internet service provider, and similar network information;
  • Language preferences, geographic region, and time zone settings;
  • Referring and exit pages, URLs, clickstream data, and interactions with the Services;
  • Dates and times of access, session activity, and usage patterns;
  • Information regarding your participation in Programs, submissions, applications, and interactions with features of the Services;

We collect this information to operate, maintain, secure, improve, troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize the Services and to better understand how users interact with the Services, Programs, and related features.

  • Pages, screens, content, and features viewed or accessed;
  • Applications submitted and Programs, cohorts, development initiatives, collaborative projects, and other opportunities viewed or accessed;
  • Submissions uploaded, shared, edited, or otherwise interacted with through the Services;
  • Content, materials, resources, and educational materials accessed or downloaded;
  • Search queries, filters, preferences, and navigation patterns;
  • Clickstream data and interactions with the Services;
  • Time spent on particular pages, features, or portions of the Services;
  • Communications and interactions relating to Programs, creator matching activities, and collaborative projects; and
  • Other information regarding how you use and engage with the Services.

We may use this information to understand user engagement, improve the Services, administer Programs, facilitate creator matching and collaboration, evaluate the effectiveness of content and features, develop new offerings, and support the operation and growth of the Services.

1.4 Payment and Transaction Data

If you purchase products or services, pay fees, make contributions, receive funding, or otherwise engage in financial transactions through the Services, we may collect certain transaction-related information. Payment processing may be performed by third-party payment processors and service providers. SugarSnap Media does not store complete payment card numbers or other full financial account credentials.

We may receive and maintain limited transaction-related information, including:

  • Payment confirmations;
  • Transaction amounts;
  • Billing and payment status;
  • Subscription or membership status (if applicable);
  • Transaction history;
  • Partial payment method identifiers; and
  • Other information reasonably necessary to administer and document transactions conducted through the Services.

Any payment information submitted directly to a third-party payment processor is subject to that processor's privacy policy and terms, and not this Privacy Policy.

We may collect information that you provide when you communicate with us, request support, submit feedback, participate in surveys, apply to Programs, interact with collaborators, or otherwise contact SugarSnap Media.

  • Information provided in support requests or troubleshooting inquiries;

  • Communications relating to applications, creator matching, collaborative projects, development initiatives, or other Programs;
  • Attachments, documents, creative materials, and other files provided in connection with communications; and
  • Any other information you choose to provide to us.

We may use this information to respond to inquiries, provide support, administer Programs, facilitate collaboration, improve the Services, evaluate user experiences, and otherwise operate and enhance the Services.

1.6 User Content, Submissions, and Program Materials

We may collect information, materials, and content that you submit, upload, transmit, share, create, or otherwise provide through the Services (collectively, "User Content").

User Content may include:

  • Profile information and account information;
  • Stories, concepts, characters, treatments, scripts, pitches, decks, presentations, and other creative submissions;
  • Artwork, illustrations, animations, audiovisual works, voice recordings, photographs, and other creative materials;
  • Portfolio materials, work samples, and professional credentials;
  • Applications and materials submitted in connection with Programs, cohorts, development initiatives, collaborative projects, pilot production opportunities, and other opportunities offered through the Services;
  • Project materials created or shared in connection with collaborative activities;
  • Feedback, evaluations, survey responses, and Program-related communications;
  • Comments, messages, and other communications submitted through the Services; and
  • Any other information, content, files, or materials you choose to provide.

We may collect, store, process, review, analyze, and use User Content as described in this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use, and any applicable Additional Terms.

1.7 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), local storage technologies, analytics tools, and similar technologies (collectively, "Cookies") to collect information about your use of the Services.

The information we receive may include profile information, contact information, professional background information, portfolio information, social media information, Program-related information, usage information, and other information permitted by applicable law and the applicable third party's policies.

We may use and combine such information with other information collected through the Services for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information You Provide

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you access or use the Services, create an Account, complete a profile, submit materials, apply to Programs, participate in collaborative projects, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with the Services.

Account Information: Information such as your name, professional name, email address, telephone number, username, password, login credentials, and other identifiers provided when creating or maintaining an Account.

Profile Information: Information you choose to include in your profile, including biographies, resumes, portfolios, work history, educational background, creative interests, areas of expertise, profile images, social media handles, website information, and other optional information.

Applications and Program Information: Information submitted in connection with Programs, cohorts, development initiatives, collaborative projects, pilot production opportunities, creator matching activities, mentorship opportunities, or other opportunities offered through the Services.

Submissions and Creative Materials: Stories, concepts, characters, scripts, treatments, pitches, presentations, artwork, illustrations, animations, audiovisual materials, project materials, portfolio materials, and other creative content that you submit, upload, transmit, share, or otherwise provide through the Services.

Communications and Feedback: Information you provide when communicating with SugarSnap Media, including support requests, inquiries, survey responses, evaluations, feedback, messages, correspondence, and any attachments or related metadata.

Collaboration Information: Information relating to your interactions with collaborators, mentors, advisors, evaluators, child development experts, or other participants in connection with Programs and collaborative projects.

Other User-Provided Information: Any other information, content, files, materials, or data that you choose to provide in connection with your use of the Services.

You represent that any information you provide is accurate, current, and complete and that you have the legal right to provide such information. You should not submit sensitive personal information unless reasonably necessary and requested in connection with the Services or a Program.

3. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:

3.1 To Provide and Operate the Services

  • Operate, maintain, administer, and improve the Services;
  • Create, maintain, and manage user Accounts and profiles;
  • Review, evaluate, process, and administer Submissions;
  • Operate and administer Programs, cohorts, development initiatives, collaborative projects, pilot production opportunities, and other opportunities offered through the Services;
  • Facilitate creator matching, team formation, collaboration, and communication among participants;
  • Provide educational resources, mentorship opportunities, feedback, and Program-related support;
  • Authenticate users and provide customer support and technical assistance; and
  • Communicate with users regarding the Services, Programs, and related opportunities.

3.2 To Evaluate Applications and Submissions

  • Review applications for Programs and opportunities;
  • Evaluate creative submissions, portfolio materials, and work samples;
  • Assess eligibility, qualifications, experience, interests, and areas of expertise;
  • Match creators, contributors, advisors, evaluators, child development experts, and other participants; and
  • Administer selection, participation, and development processes associated with the Services.

3.3 To Improve and Develop the Services

  • Analyze usage trends, engagement, and user behavior;
  • Improve the functionality, performance, accessibility, and user experience of the Services;
  • Develop new features, Programs, tools, products, and services;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Programs, creator matching activities, and collaborative initiatives; and
  • Generate analytics, insights, research, and aggregated information to support and improve the Services.

3.4 Personalization and User Experience

  • Customize and optimize the Services;
  • Present relevant opportunities, Programs, content, and resources;
  • Facilitate appropriate creator matching and collaboration opportunities;
  • Measure engagement and participation; and
  • Improve the overall user experience.

3.5 Communications

  • Send account-related communications, service updates, and administrative notices;
  • Communicate regarding applications, Submissions, Programs, collaborative projects, and participation opportunities;
  • Respond to inquiries, feedback, support requests, and other communications;
  • Conduct surveys, evaluations, and feedback initiatives; and
  • Send newsletters, updates, promotional communications, and marketing materials, where permitted by law and consistent with your preferences.

3.6 Security, Fraud Prevention, and Enforcement

  • Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, and other harmful activities;
  • Protect the integrity, security, and operation of the Services;
  • Enforce our Terms of Use, Program requirements, and other applicable policies; and
  • Protect the rights, property, safety, and interests of SugarSnap Media, users, participants, collaborators, and others.

We may create, use, disclose, and otherwise process aggregated, anonymized, de-identified, or statistical information that does not reasonably identify an individual for any lawful purpose, including analytics, research, product development, Program evaluation, audience analysis, business planning, and improving the Services.

Because SugarSnap Media operates Programs, collaborative projects, creator matching initiatives, and development opportunities, we may share information with participants, collaborators, mentors, advisors, evaluators, child development experts, contractors, and other individuals involved in the administration, evaluation, development, or operation of the Services and Programs.

For example, we may share profile information, application materials, portfolio materials, Submissions, project materials, and other information reasonably necessary to:

  • Evaluate applications and Submissions;
  • Facilitate creator matching and collaboration;
  • Administer Programs and development initiatives;
  • Provide mentorship, feedback, and educational support; and
  • Operate collaborative projects and pilot development opportunities.

4.3 Legal and Regulatory Disclosures

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or governmental requests;
  • Enforce our Terms of Use, Program requirements, agreements, or policies;
  • Detect, prevent, investigate, or address fraud, security incidents, or technical issues; or
  • Protect the rights, property, safety, or interests of SugarSnap Media, our users, participants, collaborators, or others.

We may share aggregated, anonymized, de-identified, statistical, or other information that does not reasonably identify an individual for any lawful purpose, including analytics, research, product development, Program evaluation, audience analysis, and business development.

4.7 Analytics Providers

We may share information with analytics providers and similar service providers to help us understand how users interact with the Services, evaluate engagement, measure performance, improve user experiences, and support the operation and development of the Services.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate the Services, administer Programs, evaluate and manage Submissions, facilitate collaborative projects, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5.1 Retention Periods

Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, and applicable legal requirements. In general:

  • We retain personal information for as long as your Account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Services;
  • We may retain application materials, Submissions, portfolio materials, Program participation records, project materials, communications, and collaboration-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer Programs, evaluate opportunities, maintain business records, resolve disputes, protect intellectual property rights, and support the operation of the Services;
  • We may retain certain information after Account termination to comply with legal, tax, accounting, contractual, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations; and
  • We may retain information as reasonably necessary to detect and prevent fraud, investigate security incidents, enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and protect the security, integrity, and operation of the Services.

5.2 Deletion and Residual Copies

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or de-identify such information in accordance with applicable law.

Please note that certain information may be retained for longer periods where required or permitted by law, where necessary to protect legal rights or legitimate business interests, or where retention is reasonably necessary in connection with collaborative projects, intellectual property matters, Program administration, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping obligations.

Residual copies of information may remain in backup systems, archives, disaster recovery systems, logs, or similar systems for a limited period before being deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course of business.

5.3 Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may retain and use aggregated, anonymized, de-identified, statistical, or similar information that does not reasonably identify an individual for any lawful purpose, including analytics, research, product development, Program evaluation, audience analysis, business planning, and improving the Services. We may retain such information indefinitely to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, misuse, or destruction.

Accordingly, SugarSnap Media cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information transmitted to, through, or stored in connection with the Services. Any transmission of information to or through the Services is at your own risk.

6.3 User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Account credentials and for taking reasonable steps to protect your information.

You should not share your Account credentials with others and should promptly notify SugarSnap Media using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy if you become aware of any suspected unauthorized access to your Account, unauthorized disclosure of information, or other potential security incident.

6.4 Security Incidents

In the event of a security incident involving personal information, SugarSnap Media will take commercially reasonable steps to investigate, contain, mitigate, and remediate the incident.

7.4 Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") setting or signal. Because there is currently no consistent industry standard governing responses to DNT signals, the Services do not currently respond differently to such signals.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended solely for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from individuals under the age of eighteen (18).

If you are under eighteen (18), you may not access, use, create an Account on, submit materials to, participate in Programs through, or otherwise interact with the Services.

8.1 No Collection from Minors

SugarSnap Media does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of eighteen (18). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from an individual under eighteen (18), we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to applicable legal obligations.

8.2 Children's Content Does Not Mean Children's Users

Although certain content, projects, Programs, creative materials, or development initiatives facilitated through the Services may be intended for children or family audiences, the Services themselves are not directed to, intended for, or designed for use by children.

The Services are intended for adult creators, writers, illustrators, animators, advisors, child development experts, and other participants who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.

8.3 Parental and Guardian Inquiries

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a minor has provided personal information to SugarSnap Media in violation of this Privacy Policy, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

Upon receiving a verified request, we will investigate the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.
